DFE Funding Extended for 2 Years

At the end of January Minister Edward Timpson announced £80 million of additional funding to extend opportunities to children with special educational needs and disabilities.
This includes a continuation of £15,000 funding for 2016/17 for Parent Carer Forums and confirmation that the Independent Support Service will be extended for 2016/17.
In addition, the government is also pledging to fund this work for an additional year in 2017 to 2018, to ensure we see through the transition to the new system by April 2018.
